Inter Milan Veteran Duo To Follow Calhanoglu & Bastoni By Signing Contract Extensions

Veteran Inter Milan duo Edin Dzeko and Stefan de Vrij are both ready to extend their contracts with the club in the coming weeks.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the pair will soon follow in the footsteps of Alessandro Bastoni and Hakan Calhanoglu in signing new deals with the Nerazzurri.

At this stage, it looks very clear that both Calhanoglu and Bastoni will extend their contracts with Inter.

Both of the pair spoke about their situations after the Coppa Italia final against Fiorentina yesterday evening. In both cases, the players made it clear that they expect to sign new deals.

The Corriere confirm the widespread reports that both Calhanoglu and Bastoni’s extensions will be made official soon.

Both of the pair’s current deals run out at the end of next June. However, in both cases the Nerazzurri are keen to extend their deals well in advance.

Dzeko & De Vrij Both To Follow Calhanoglu & Bastoni With New Inter Milan Deals

According to the Corriere, however, Inter don’t want to stop with Calhanoglu and Bastoni.

In the case of both Dzeko and de Vrij, the players’ situations are in fact more imminent.

Both the Bosnian and the Dutchman see their current contracts run out at the end of next month.

Accordingly, if the Nerazzurri do not find an agreement with the pair on extensions, they could leave on free transfers during the summer transfer window.

However, the Corriere report, that will not happen. The newspaper note that talks with Calhanoglu and Bastoni are the priority.

However, those now look likely to get wrapped up imminently.

It will not be long, according to the Corriere, before Dzeko and de Vrij follow.
