Inter Milan have made young Empoli wingback Fabiano Parisi their main target to replace Robin Gosens should the German leave.

This according to Milan based Inter Milan news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri have identified Parisi as the ideal like-for-like replacement on the left should the former Atalanta player be sold during the summer.

A recent report has already suggested that Parisi is a player on Inter’s radar.

According to the report, the Nerazzurri will meet with the 22-year-old’s club Empoli in the coming days to discuss the possibility of a move in the coming days.

The wingback’s agent has already confirmed that this will almost certainly be his final season with Empoli.

According to FCIN1908, Parisi is Inter’s main target to replace Robin Gosens in the event that the German departs.

Inter See Fabiano Parisi As Ideal Robin Gosens Replacement

This season, Gosens has not been first-choice in Inter’s starting eleven. The emergence of Federico Dimarco as the starter in the left-wingback role has kept the ex-Atalanta man out.

Whilst Gosens has slowly clawed back more playing time, he could well leave this summer. Last summer, Bayer Leverkusen had looked keen to sign Gosens.

Reports suggest teams in the Bundesliga remain interested in the 28-year-old’s signature. All of Borussia Monchengladbach, Wolfsburg, and Eintracht Frankfurt have been linked in the past.

Accordingly, it is hardly certain that Robin Gosens will stay at Inter beyond the end of the current season. Should the 28-year-old leave, the Nerazzurri will search for a new signing capable of playing on the left.

Federico Dimarco is currently the only other left wing-back left in the squad. According to FCIN1908, Parisi would become a major target for Inter if Gosens left.

Parisi has made 26 appearances for Empoli so far this season in Serie A, after having made 25 last time around.
