Former Inter Milan and Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli doesn’t know who to support in the 2023 Champions League Final.

Mario Balotelli made these remarks to Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported via Inter Milan news-site FcInterNews.

‘Super-Mario’ has wonderful memories at both clubs, and is therefore undecided as to who he’ll support in the final.

The 32-year-old striker confirmed he had received “many invitations” to the June 10th showpiece at the Ataturk Stadium

Mario Balotelli was part of Jose Mourinho’s historic 2010 treble-winning Inter squad before moving to Manchester City that summer.

He helped City win their first ever Premier League title in 2012. Balotelli assisted Sergio Aguero for his famous title-winning goal against QPR.

The Sicilian born striker started his professional career with Inter back in 2007 and won three Serie A titles with the Nerazzurri.

Controversy and scandal have never been far away throughout his career. This was certainly also true of his time at the Giuseppe Meazza.

He is currently under contract with Swiss Super League club FC Sion until end of June 2024.

Despite Sion being his eighth club since leaving City in 2013, the 36-time-capped Italian international still has both finalists close to his heart.

Mario Balotelli – “Heart Torn” On Man City Vs Inter Milan Champions League Final

Balotelli confirmed he will be at the final but is unsure where to sit due to not knowing which team to support.

“I have received many invitations to the final. Maybe, I will sit in the middle to avoid any misunderstandings. My heart is torn in half, better not to say anything other than that.

“My head tells me I want both teams to win. But that’s not possible” Balotelli began.

‘Super Mario’ spoke of Inter’s good run of form recently, heaping praise on among others Lautaro Martinez.

“They have a lot of players who can make a difference. My friend [former Manchester City teammate] Dzeko, Lukaku and, of course, Martinez. His second goal against Fiorentina was beautiful.”

He was also full of praise for Pep Guardiola’s treble chasers.

“They are the favourites and they play some beautiful football. However, Inzaghi’s football is also very effective.”

When asked about that famous 2009/10 season, Balotelli spoke glowingly.

“I remember my goal in the group stages against Rubin Kazan and then getting my hands on that trophy. I still get goosebumps thinking of it” Balotelli concluded.
