Inter Milan and Barcelona will meet after the Champions League final to discuss a possible deal for midfielder Franck Kessie.

This according to Spanish news outlet Sport, who report that the Blaugranas are keen to offload the former AC Milan midfielder, who is also a target for Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, to finance their other summer transfer business.

It is no secret that Inter are keen to sign Kessie.

The Ivorian has been on the Nerazzurri’s radar since he was an Atalanta players.

Meanwhile, Sport report, Barcelona have made very clear that they intend to sell Kessie this summer.

The 26-year-old does not figure into the Spanish champions’ plans for next season. Accordingly, they want to offload his high wages and also bring in a transfer fee.

According to Sport, if Kessie is to leave the Camp Nou this summer, his preferred move would be a return to Serie A. The former Rossoneri man would in fact be keen on a move to his old team’s city rivals Inter.

Thusly, Barcelona will see if they can negotiate a transfer with the Nerazzurri.

Inter and Barcelona have reportedly been discussing a potential swap deal between Kessie and Marcelo Brozovic since the January transfer window.

According to Sport, however, the Blaugranas are not too keen on this idea. They reportedly have other targets than the Croat in midfield, and only want a cash offer for Kessie.

Sport report that Barcelona want to sell Kessie for around €35 million, in order to fund other incoming transfers.

The Blaugranas reportedly are aiming to offload the Ivorian within the next three weeks or so.

Should Barcelona and Inter be unable to come to an agreement, the La Liga giants will look to sell Kessie to a different club. Teams in the Premier League and the Bundesliga are reportedly keen.

Sport report that Liverpool and particularly Spurs would be waiting in the wings to sign the Ivorian.
