Inter Milan are very keen on Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but can only afford him by making a big sale.
This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have made their interest in the 28-year-old known, and that the player reciprocates their interest, but that no transfer would be possible without a big sale to fund the fee.
Over the last few weeks, Inter have been heavily-linked with Lazio midfielder Milinkovic-Savic.
The Biancocelesti are reportedly prepared to cash in on the Serbian international whilst they have the chance. The 28-year-old former Genk man’s deal runs out at the end of June and he will not sign an extension.
Inter are far from the only club interested in Milinkovic-Savic’s signature, however.
The Nerazzurri’s Serie A rivals Juventus are reportedly also keen.
Meanwhile, from the Premier League the likes of Newcastle United and Arsenal are also tracking the 28-year-old.

FCIN confirm that Inter are interested in signing Milinkovic-Savic.
The Nerazzurri’s directors have made this interest known to the player’s representatives. Moreover, Milinkovic-Savic would reportedly also be very interested in making the move to Inter.
If Milinkovic-Savic were to join the Nerazzurri, he would link up with his ex-Biancocelesti coach Simone Inzaghi.
However, FCIN report, the situation is simple. Inter will only be able to afford the fee for Milinkovic-Savic if they first make significant sale themselves.
Even though Lazio are under pressure to sell the Serb given his contract situation, they won’t be accepting any cut-price fees.
The Biancocelesti are reportedly holding out for around €40 million for Milinkovic-Savic.
Meanwhile, a report earlier today indicated that Inter are prepared to offer wingback Robin Gosens as part of a deal, to lower the cash amount.
According to FCIN, however, a likelier scenario would be that the Nerazzurri first sell a player, then swoop for the Lazio midfielder.
