Inter Milan linked Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly is ready to make the move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 31-year-old will relent and make the move away from European football as Al-Hilal offer a contract worth €30 million net per season.

Inter have been trying to sign former Napoli defender Koulibaly this summer.

The Nerazzurri have offered to take the Senegalese international on loan from Chelsea.

However, the Blues firmly rebuffed this interest. According to the Corriere, Chelsea want to send Koulibaly to the Saudi Pro League.

Chelsea are ready to agree a deal to sell not just Koulibaly, but also Hakim Ziyech, Edouard Mendy, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to teams in Saudi Arabia according to the Corriere. The talks are mediated by Saudi sovereign wealth fund the PIF.

On the other hand, Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has absolutely no intention of moving to a Saudi team. The Belgian’s only priority is another loan to Inter.

Inter Linked Chelsea Star Koulibaly Ready To Accept Mega Money Al-Hilal Offer

Initially, reports suggested that Koulibaly was cold on the idea of leaving European football.

The 31-year-old reportedly turned down Al-Ittihad. His reasoning was that he felt that, at 31 years of age, he still has something left in Europe.

Koulibaly initially resisted the idea of taking a step down to a league of a much lower level.

Moreover, a return to Serie A to play for Inter wasn’t the Senegalese’s only option in Europe. German champions Bayern Munich reportedly showed an interest in his signature.

However, Inter and Bayern will reportedly miss out.

According to the Corriere, Koulibaly is close to accepting a move to Al-Hilal.

The 31-year-old will earn €30 million per season. This is far more than the €9 million net per season he earns at Chelsea.

Had the Nerazzurri loaned in Koulibaly, they would have required Chelsea to pay part of his wages.

In financial terms, there is little chance of Inter competing with Al-Hilal.
