Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic will complete his move to Al-Nassr today, with Barcelona missing out.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that today is the day when the Saudi Pro League club seal a €23 million deal to bring the Inter midfielder in.

Al-Nassr have been pushing to sign Brozovic over the past week or so.

The Saudi team have made their offer to both the Nerazzurri and to the player.

To the player, the Saudi Pro League giants are ready to offer €20 million net per season. This would more than double what the player earns at Inter.

Brozovic is reportedly ready to accept this massive money offer.

Meanwhile, the Saudi Pro League side have been steadily increasing their offer to get closer to Inter’s asking price. According to the Gazzetta, the deal will happen for a fee of €23 million.

Today The Day For Marcelo Brozovic To Join Al-Nassr – Barcelona Miss Out

Barcelona have also been trying to sign the 30-year-old.

The La Liga champions have made a replacement for Sergio Busquets a priority for this summer transfer window.

Having seemingly missed out on Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich and Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimenti, the Blaugranas have been ready to turn to Brozovic.

This is far from the first time that Barcelona have went after Brozovic.

The Blaugranas had already discussed a prospective swap between Brozovic and former AC Milan and Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie with Inter in January.

However, those talks never amounted to anything.

According to the Gazzetta, Barcelona have even made a last-ditch effort to sign Brozovic.

Blaugranas coach Xavi intervened personally – the Gazzetta report that the coach personally contacted the midfielder.

However, there is nothing doing for Barcelona. Brozovic has already accepted the switch to Al-Nassr.

Today, that move should become official.

The Croatian international will say goodbye to Inter after eight and a half years, and link up with Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.
