It’s now or never for the future of Marcelo Brozovic – either he will make the move to Al-Nassr today or stay at Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper report that today will be decisive in determining whether or not the Croat’s transfer to Al-Nassr happens.

The past few days have been an absolute whirlwind concerning the situation of Brozovic.

First, it had seemed that the Saudi Pro League had sealed a transfer for the 30-year-old. They made an offer of €23 million which Inter accepted. The player himself also seemed ready to accept their big money offer.

However, then Brozovic decided not to immediately accept Al-Nassr’s deal.

The interest of Barcelona continued to tempt the Croatian international. He wanted to wait, whilst Inter and Al-Nassr pushed to make a deal happen.

Then, Brozovic relented – he gave the all-clear for the move to happen.

However, with the player’s all-important green light secured, Al-Nassr then slashed their offer for him to Inter. The Nerazzurri were reportedly furious at this new offer of €13 million and slammed the door.

Another further unwelcome development came in the form of the player asking for severance pay from Inter.

No More Twists & Turns – Today Decisive For Marcelo Brozovic Move From Inter To Al-Nassr

According to the Gazzetta, this should finally be the end to all these dramatic reversals.

Inter have decided on their stance. They are still very much in talks with Al-Nassr to see if they can make the move happen.

However, if the clubs do not reach an agreement today, the Nerazzurri will walk away from negotiations.

They will take Brozovic off of the market and keep him in their squad for next season.

Only a few months ago Brozovic being sold would’ve seemed unthinkable. However, the midfielder’s situation at Inter has changed.

The Croat has missed long spells with injuries in the season just gone. Whilst he was out, Hakan Calhanoglu has emerged as a starting-quality option in his position.

Moreover, a rift has reportedly formed between Brozovic and Inter. Management of the midfielder’s injuries are reportedly central to the reason for this.

Accordingly, Inter are willing to sell the Croat. However, if they do so it will have come after a very bumpy transfer saga.

In the meantime, Brozovic’s future could be decisive for Inter’s move to sign Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi.

The Nerazzurri have been aiming to sign the 23-year-old partly with the fee from a Brozovic sale. If they do not sell Brozovic, then their ability to seal a deal for Frattesi becomes uncertain.
