Part of the deal for Inter Milan to sign midfielder Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo will include performance-related add-ons.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who revealed live on air via FCInterNews that the Nerazzurri could pay as much as €5 million in add-ons, linked to appearances, Champions League qualification, and the Serie A title.

Inter now look to have a deal for Frattesi just about over the line.

The Nerazzurri are just taking care of the final details to sign the 23-year-old, who could have his medicals as early as Friday.

Inter have a full agreement with Sassuolo, and will just have to finalize the details tomorrow.

According to Di Marzio, the Nerazzurri will sign Frattesi on an initial paid loan deal. The loan fee will be €6 million.

Then, Inter will have a mandatory obligation to sign Frattesi at the end of the deal. The purchase obligation will be worth around €27 million, taking the total value of the deal to €33 million.

That amount could climb even higher with the inclusion of add-ons, Di Marzio reveals.

The Sky transfer market expert reports that there will be €5 million in potential add-ons in the fee.

€4 million of these will be linked to appearances made by Frattesi, and Champions League qualification. The last €1 million would be payable if the Nerazzurri are to win the Serie A title.

Frattesi’s agent Beppe Riso has already confirmed that a move to Inter is close for Azzurri star.

Riso noted that the player’s preference has been to join the Nerazzurri. This appears to have been a key factor in the Nerazzurri hammering out a deal to sign him.

Inter have beaten the likes of AC Milan, Roma, and Juventus to the 23-year-old’s signature.
