Defender Alessandro Bastoni and Hakan Calhanoglu will both get pay raises after signing new contracts with Inter Milan.
This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
It’s official – both Hakan Calhanoglu and Alessandro Bastoni have extended their contracts with Inter.
Both of the pair had seen their previous deals run out at the end of June, but both have made their intentions clear – they have committed their futures to the Nerazzurri by putting pen to paper on new long-term deals.
What Bastoni & Calhanoglu Set To Earn On New Long-Term Inter Milan Deals
Bastoni has signed a new five-year contract taking him until the end of June 2028.
The 24-year-old will initially earn €5 million net per season on the deal, plus add-ons. Then, over the course of the five-year deal, that number will increase.
The player’s clear desire to stay was a decisive factor in Inter wrapping up a new deal for Bastoni. Several clubs from the Premier League were keen on the Italian’s signature had he not extended, with Manchester City leading the charge.
However, Bastoni always made his priority clear. He wanted to stay at Inter for the long haul.
Accordingly, it is very likely that the former Parma and Atalanta man has turned down higher potential earnings in the English top flight.
However, it is not as though Inter have not rewarded the 24-year-old financially. He will get an immediate pay raise, and this will continue over the course of his new contract.
Meanwhile, in Calhanoglu’s case, the Turkish former AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen star has signed a new four-year contract.
This will take Calhanoglu until the end of June 2027 at Inter.
The 29-year-old has increased his earnings from €4.5 million net per season to €6 million net per season on the new deal.
