CBS journalist Ben Jacobs believes that there would be no chance of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku joining Juventus.

Speaking to TvPlay, via FCInterNews, Jacobs predicted that Lukaku only wants a return to Inter Milan next season, and that he will not under any circumstances make a shock move to the Bianconeri.

The rumour mill is in full swing regarding Lukaku‘s future.

Inter are now pushing harder than ever to sign the Belgian. They are starting to offer a permanent deal rather than another loan, and have been hoping that this change in approach would be crucial in securing the green light from Chelsea.

However, the Blues have continued to turn down the Nerazzurri’s offers for Lukaku.

This has led to some sensational reports – Inter’s bitter rivals Juventus could try to take advantage by snapping the Belgian up.

The longer that Inter are unable to agree a deal with Chelsea, the more prominent these rumours have become.

However, for his part, CBS journalist Jacobs feels that there is very little in them. Jacobs is convinced that Lukaku only wants Inter and would never accept a move to Juventus.

Jacobs: No Chance That Romelu Lukaku Would Consider Juventus Move

Jacobs gave a rundown of Lukaku’s situation.

“There are two firm points,” he said. “The first is that Romelu Lukaku wants Inter, but the second point is that Inter don’t have the financial strength to buy him from Chelsea.”

“There’s no agreement with the London club, and right now there’s no viable way forward.”

Jacobs made clear that “A new loan is not possible, Chelsea aren’t even taking that into consideration. They want to sell him to raise cash, and they won’t change these conditions.”

The CBS journalist explained that “Chelsea want €45 million. Inter are still in control of the negotiation, but the more time passes, the more that the situation can change.”

“Even if they sell Onana, Inter won’t have the €45 million needed to pay to Chelsea.”

“The Blues aren’t able to bring in less than €45 million due to issues with their balance sheet,” Jacobs noted.

He then continued that “Lukaku’s priority is Inter.”

“As for Juventus, they could consider an exchange with Vlahovic, but then we’d have to consider the player’s will.”

Jacobs made clear that “Lukaku wants to win with Inter and there’s no chance of him wanting to go to Juve.”

“If he doesn’t go to the Nerazzurri, he could consider the hypothesis of Saudi Arabia.”

Jacobs then added that “Inter’s offer so far is considerably lower than Chelsea’s demands.”
