Inter Milan are close to completing a deal to sell Andre Onana to Man United and moving for Anatoliy Trubin and Yann Sommer as his replacements.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Manchester United have had a couple offers for Onana rejected, but that’s not slowing them down.

The Premier League giants are ready to raise their bid for Onana very soon according to reports.

United are now getting very close to meeting the Nerazzurri’s valuation.

According to the Gazzetta, Inter would be prepared to accept an offer that exceeds €50 million. United should soon make an official offer of around that figure, plus significant add-ons, which will be enough to make the deal for Onana happen.

The newspaper reports that it is now a matter of days. Barring major surprises, Onana becoming a United player is a question of when rather than if.

And the timeline is accelerating, as that “when” will likely be quite soon.

Inter Milan To Sell Andre Onana To Man United & Sign Two Replacements

The Nerazzurri have a plan for reinvesting part of the fee for Onana in two replacements.

As Inter get closer and closer to selling Onana, they are firming up their idea for what comes next.

According to the Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri will sign two goalkeepers. They are thinking of having some competition between the posts next season, with two new arrivals both vying for the starting spot.

First there is Shakhtar Donestk keeper Trubin. The Nerazzurri have an agreement with the player, and hope to pay around €10 million to secure a deal for him from Shakhtar.

Meanwhile, Inter hope to invest around €6 million in another target – Bayern Munich veteran Sommer.

The 34-year-old Swiss international would provide a more experienced presence in goal compared to Trubin.

Inter aim to have both of the pair on board for next season. And the switchover from Onana is getting closer and closer to happening as the Cameroonian already has one foot at Old Trafford.
