Inter Milan are ready to “go to war” with Juventus to sign Romelu Lukaku, whilst PSG also lurk with interest.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who claim that the Bianconeri are still very much in the race and that Inter are doing everything they can to avoid their bitter rivals snatching Lukaku from under their noses.

Whilst much of the reporting around Lukaku’s future has suggested the Belgian only wants Inter, the Corriere have taken a different tack.

The Rome-based newspaper suggests that both Juventus and Al-Hilal are still valid options for Lukaku’s future.

In today’s edition, the Corriere notes that Inter’s current intention is to bid around €35 million in total. €30 million plus €5 million in add-ons.

However, unlike most outlets, the newspaper also suggests that Juventus are still keen. And that they would be capable of swooping in and completing a sensational deal.

Inter Milan To Do Everything To Fend Off Juventus Interest In Lukaku As PSG Also Lurk

For the Corriere, everything is linked with the future of Dusan Vlahovic at Juventus.

If the Bianconeri were to sell the Serb, then they would be in a good position to make an offer for Lukaku. And, the newspaper suggests, the player would not have as firm a stance against joining the Turin giants as most other reports have suggested.

Therefore, Inter may have to “go to war” if they want to ensure they get their man.

This could mean responding to offers from Juventus. If the Bianconeri make a bid for Lukaku’s signature to Chelsea, then Inter would bid €1 higher.

Meanwhile, the newspaper notes, Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain also have an interest in Lukaku.

The French champions are looking to sign a striker before the summer transfer window closes. The Belgian is on their list.

Therefore, the Corriere argues, Inter are in fact not without competition to sign Lukaku.
