Inter Milan to accelerate in the race to sign Spezia wingback Emil Holm.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reported in a tweet that the Nerazzurri want to beat out the competition for the 23-year-old’s signature, and that he will be their next priority after they get other transfer business out of the way.

Inter will in all likelihood move to sign a right-sided wingback this summer.

With Matteo Darmian having a role at centre-back, the Nerazzurri will not want Denzel Dumfries to be the only specialist right-wingback in the squad. Squad depth is a priority going into what promises to be another very long season.

According to Pedulla, Inter have identified the player who they want to sign to reinforce on the right flank. He identifies Holm as the player who the Nerazzurri are now very interested in.

Inter Milan Ready To Accelerate In The Race For Spezia Starlet Emil Holm

Inter have already met with the agent of Holm.

It looks very likely that Holm will leave Spezia one way or the other this summer.

The Swede impressed in his twenty appearances last season. His displays were not enough to prevent the Ligurians from suffering relegation to Serie B.

However, Holm has attracted plenty of interest from within the top flight. The probability that he’ll stay at his current club is therefore low.

Reportedly, the Nerazzurri have floated the idea of an initial loan move for the 23-year-old, who is also a target for Atalanta and Juventus.

In any event, Pedulla reports that Inter are now considering the Spezia man to be a big target.

The SportItalia transfer expert tweeted that “Inter are bewitched by Holm. They’ve accelerated in the race, they’ll work to sign him ahead of the competition after they resolve the other priorities of the next few days.”
