Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku could be at a crossroads between joining Inter Milan and Juventus for the upcoming season.

This is the claim in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

In recent days, Rome-based newspaper the Corriere has gone very much against the grain of reporting on Lukaku’s future.

Whilst the consensus from other outlets has been that the Belgian only wants Inter, the Corriere have insisted otherwise.

They have offered a view of the situation which in fact sees Juventus very much in the race for his signature.

The Corriere reports that the Bianconeri have already made their proposition both to the player and to Chelsea.

The future of Dusan Vlahovic could be decisive in that respect. The newspaper notes that Juventus would have to offload the Serb in order to go ahead with a move for Lukaku as his replacement.

This would both give them the funds to sign Lukaku, and free up space in their squad.

Chelsea Striker Romelu Lukaku Between Inter Milan & Juventus

One thing that the Corriere is in agreement with all other reporting about is that this week will be decisive for Lukaku’s future.

Chelsea head out on their preseason tour of the US next week. Neither the Blues nor Lukaku have any intention of the Belgian being part of the squad when that occasion comes around.

Therefore, everyone wants to sort out Lukaku’s future by next Monday or so. There are only a few days left to go.

However, the Corriere, suggests, it is Inter and Juventus going to war to sign the 30-year-old.

The newspaper sticks to the position that both of the two Serie A giants are trying to complete a deal.

Even Paris Saint-Germain could throw their hat into the ring for Lukaku’s signature.

Therefore, the Corriere suggests, there is little question that Lukaku will leave Chelsea this summer. However, the game is still open as far as his next destination.
