Chelsea see Inter Milan’s most recent bid of £25 million for striker Romelu Lukaku as “serious but still not acceptable.”

This according to UK-based journalist Tom Roddy, who outlined the Blues’ stance on the Nerazzurri’s offer for the Belgian in a tweet. He also notes that Juventus and a Saudi Arabian team are still in the race.

Yesterday, Inter made yet another offer to Chelsea for Lukaku.

The Nerazzurri are now putting €30 million on the plate in terms of a fixed fee.

In addition, the Nerazzurri’s bid contains significant add-ons. These could bring the total amount to right around €40 million if triggered.

Inter have now fully dispensed with loan offers – they know that Chelsea will reject any such bids.

The Londoners want to sell Lukaku once and for all this summer, and Inter are negotiating on this basis.

And for their part, Chelsea appreciate the new approach from Inter. They feel that the new offer from the Nerazzurri can be the basis of a negotiation, rather than simply rejecting the bid out of hand.

However, Inter’s offer is still not high enough for the Londoners, Roddy reports. Chelsea still want the Nerazzurri to go higher before they will shake hands on a deal.

Chelsea Stance On Inter Milan Offer For Romelu Lukaku Revealed

UK-based journalist Roddy reports that “Chelsea now consider Inter Milan’s £25m+ bid for Romelu Lukaku as serious but still not acceptable.”

“Believed to be the lowest offer of three interested parties, including Juventus and Saudi Arabia. Lukaku wants Inter,” he continues.

The interest of Juventus could continue to be a fly in the ointment for Inter to get a deal done.

Meanwhile, the Saudi Pro League is still playing a role in Chelsea’s thinking, despite Lukaku already decisively rejecting Al-Hilal.

Therefore, the will of the player could well be decisive. Roddy confirms that the Belgian only wants Inter.

However, it will remain to be seen if this is enough to push through an agreement between the Nerazzurri and Chelsea.
