Andre Onana is in normal training with Inter Milan as the Nerazzurri await the decisive offer from Man United.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Cameroonian is still fulfilling his regular duties as an Inter player in the absence of an improved offer from the Red Devils that would seal his transfer to Old Trafford.
For the time being, Onana is technically still an Inter player.
That looks very likely to change soon – Manchester United have reportedly reached more or less full agreement with the Nerazzurri regarding terms on a sale.
However, Sky reports, the Red Devils have not formally made the decisive offer. As things stand, Inter have not accepted any United bids for their goalkeeper.
As such, Onana is still an Inter player. The club have expected him at training as there is not yet a reason to relieve him of his duties.
If and when United make a decisive offer and the clubs shake hands on a deal, Inter will give the 27-year-old permission to be absent from the team’s training. Then he will be able to travel to England to complete his move.
As of yet, however, that has not happened.
Andre Onana In Inter Milan Training – Waiting For Man United To Seal The Deal
According to Sky, Inter are waiting for United to make a big that reaches the €50 million benchmark.
The clubs have all but agreed on a fee of around €50 million, rising to €55 million with add-ons. This would satisfy the Nerazzurri, who have come down from a €60 million asking price.
Therefore, United look ready to table an offer on that basis very soon. That will be the moment when they effectively wrap up talks and sign Onana.
On the player’s end, Onana is ready to make the switch.
The Cameroonian’s representatives reportedly met with United on Monday. They worked out terms on a five-year contract for the 27-year-old former Ajax keeper to make the move to Old Trafford.
However, Sky still stress the point – nothing is officially done yet, absent the decisive bid from United to Inter. Onana is still an Inter player, and he is training with his teammates today.
