Inter Milan have put an offer of €40 million on the table to sign Arsenal and USMNT striker Folarin Balogun.

This according to Italian news outlet RAI Radio, via Inter-news.it, who report that the Nerazzurri have offered the Gunners two possible structures for a deal, and that they have also offered the player a five-year contract.

Everything is now over between Inter and Romelu Lukaku.

After weeks of trying to get a deal done with Chelsea for the Belgian, the Nerazzurri have pulled the plug. The fact that Lukaku decided to negotiate with Juventus has meant that Inter will completely reject the possibility of bringing him back.

And now, the Nerazzurri are moving very fast in their pursuit of alternative targets to the Belgian.

Arsenal starlet Balogun is the man who the Nerazzurri have seemingly decided upon as their top target.

Inter have scouted the 22-year-old throughout his highly impressive and prolific loan spell at Reims in Ligue 1. They believe that the American has what it takes to become their next striker.

Inter Milan Make Arsenal Offer For Folarin Balogun

Arsenal are willing to sell Balogun this summer, but not for cheap.

The Gunners’ asking price is about €40 million to get a deal done for the US international.

Inter have, in fact, not beaten around the bush – RAI report that the Nerazzurri have made an offer equivalent to Arsenal’s asking price.

However, the structure of a deal could prove to be key.

One possibility that Inter have put on the table is for a straight cash fee for the permanent transfer of Balogun. However, the Nerazzurri would pay the €40 million fee in five instalments.

Another option that the Nerazzurri have proposed would be for an initial loan deal containing a purchase obligation.

And with the player himself, Inter have worked out a contract. Balogun, who scored 22 goals in all competitions for Reims last season, would sign on a five-year deal worth €3.5 million net per season.

On the player’s end, Balogun would be happy to accept a move to the Nerazzurri.
