Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi wants to sign Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata over Udinese’s Beto & Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported on air via FCInterNews that the Spanish international is the striker who Inzaghi is pushing for as the Nerazzurri accelerate their search for a new striker.

It has now been a few days since Inter’s pursuit of Romelu Lukaku came to an end in spectacular fashion.

However, in the time since, the Nerazzurri have not wasted any time in lining up alternative targets.

According to Di Marzio, Atletico and former Juventus, Chelsea, and Real Madrid striker Morata is Inter coach Inzaghi’s preferred target. The coach wants to sign the 30-year-old above the other targets who the club have lined up.

The situation remains the same as ever, though – Atletico are holding out for €20.5 million to sell their striker.

This is because the Colchoneros are determined not to take a capital loss on Morata’s departure. Therefore, there is little wiggle room on the price.

Inzaghi Wants Morata – But Inter Also Considering Balogun & Beto

The Nerazzurri could go in a very different direction from signing the experienced Spaniard by moving for Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun..

The 22-year-old US international has caught the Nerazzurri’s eye with his loan spell at Reims.

However, Inzaghi is unsure about whether Balogun would be ready for Serie A – this is why he prefers a move for Morata, who would take no time settling in after four seasons at Juventus.

Also on the Nerazzurri’s shortlist is Udinese striker Beto.

The 25-year-old does have a couple seasons of experience in Serie A, but is also five years younger than Morata.

Di Marzio reports that the price tag for the Friulani striker would be €35 million. That had previously been his release clause, but that the price tag remains the same.
