Inter Milan are ready to make Arsenal an offer worth in excess of €40 million to sign striker Folarin Balogun.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri’s plan is to offer the Gunners a €5 million paid loan containing a purchase obligation worth €35 million plus add-ons for the US international.

22-year-old Balogun is increasingly the player who Inter are focusing on in their search for a striker.

Whilst the Nerazzurri are also looking at Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, they are reluctant to pay the Colchoneros’ asking price for a player of the Spaniard’s age.

Therefore, Inter’s directors increasingly see Balogun as the main target. The potential that the 22-year-old has shown has convinced them.

The American enjoyed a breakout season on loan with Reims last season. Therefore, Inter are ready to make a significant investment in a player who they see as having his best years ahead of him.

Inter Milan Getting Ready To Make Their Offer For Folarin Balogun

For their part, Arsenal want a fairly high fee to sell Balogun. The Premier League giants reportedly want to sell the striker for over €40 million.

And Inter are ready to make an offer that reaches right around that amount.

According to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri’s plan is to offer the Gunners an initial paid loan deal. The loan fee would be around €5 million.

Then, at the end of the loan, there would be a purchase obligation that would make signing Balogun on a permanent basis mandatory.

Inter are ready to offer around €35 million in terms of the final fee. In addition, they will offer some add-ons in the deal.

Thus, the total value of Inter’s offer would go above €40 million.

Whether Arsenal are willing to open up to an initial loan could be crucial in determining the direction of negotiations.
