Inter Milan target Folarin Balogun is training on his own as a move away from Arsenal looks likely this summer.

This according to UK news outlet The Athletic, who report that the Gunners will demand around £50 million for Balogun.

Balogun is a player whose future looks further and further away from Arsenal.

Whilst the US international had an outstanding season on loan at Reims last campaign, that may not be enough to earn him regular playing time for Mikel Arteta’s side.

This is because of the number of attacking options also available in the Premier League runners-up’s squad.

Former Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus will likely remain first-choice. Then, there are Eddie Nketiah, and summer arrival Kai Havertz in attack.

And Balogun, for his part, has made no secret of his desire to play regular football next season. The 22-year-old does not want to stay at Arsenal if it means being nothing more than a luxury backup option.

Therefore, The Athletic reports, Balogun is hoping for an exit. The American’s priority is to join a club where he will be able to start regularly.

Inter Milan Target Folarin Balogun Likely To Leave Arsenal This Summer

To this end, The Athletic reports, Balogun has been training alone.

The 22-year-old played no part in the Gunner’s friendly match against Manchester United on Saturday evening either.

According to The Athletic, all of this is a clear sign of a transfer away for Balogun. But where he will go is still not certain.

Inter want to sign the American. He is the striker they’ve put in their sights as their main attacking target this summer.

However, there is no guarantee of the Nerazzurri being able to agree a fee with Arsenal.

The Gunners reportedly want £50 million for Balogun. This is equivalent to around €58 million.

Inter had already been ready to pay around €40 million in total to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea. Thus, they could invest at least that much in a deal for Balogun.

However, the Nerazzurri would struggle to go much higher.

Therefore, everything could depend on whether or not Arsenal are prepared to drop their asking price.
