Inter Milan have made contact with agents of Roma superstar Paulo Dybala regarding the possibility of a shock summer transfer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri inquired about whether the 29-year-old would be open to making the move, although the response was not very positive.

Inter are still trying to sort out their attack for next season.

The collapse of the Nerazzurri’s move for Romelu Lukaku, and the possibility that Joaquin Correa could also leave, have left the club looking for a major striker signing.

Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun is certainly a top name on the Nerazzurri’s radar. Meanwhile, Udinese’s Beto is another target.

But, the Corriere della Sera reveal, Inter have also considered the idea of reviving their pursuit of a former target as well.

Inter Milan Contact Agents Of Paulo Dybala About Shock Summer Move

According to the Corriere della Sera, it was Inter CEO Beppe Marotta who got into contact with Paulo Dybala’s representatives.

The Argentine only just joined Roma last summer.

That came after a high-profile transfer saga with Inter that saw the Argentine seemingly on the verge of joining. However, that move fell through as the Nerazzurri preferred a move for Lukaku.

However, the Corriere della Sera reports, Marotta has considered moving for Dybala as an idea for this summer.

With other attacking targets potentially too expensive or otherwise difficult to sign, the 29-year-old could present an opportunity.

Marotta contacted Marotta’s entourage. The Nerazzurri CEO is aware of the fact that Dybala has a release clause in his contract with Roma.

That clause would be for €12 million if a club outside Italy activate it. On the other hand, for teams in Serie A the number would be €20 million.

In any event, the Corriere della Sera report, Dybala’s representatives indicated that he’s not very interested. The ex-Juventus and Palermo forward has made staying at Roma his priority.

The Giallorossi are currently trying to agree a contract extension with their star man.
