Inter Milan will make their offer to Arsenal to sign US international striker Folarin Balogun some time this week.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are aiming to get a deal done for not much more than €40 million in terms of total expenditure.

With the final month of the summer transfer window almost here, Inter still need to sign a striker.

Arsenal and USMNT starlet Balogun has been the Nerazzurri’s main target for a couple weeks now.

The 22-year-old’s impressive loan season at Reims last season has convinced Inter’s directors. They believe that he is the right investment for both the present and the future.

At the same time, the Nerazzurri know that Balogun won’t come cheap.

Inter are ready, however, to invest around the same amount in the deal as they had been prepared to spend on bringing Romelu Lukaku back from Chelsea on a permanent basis.

This means that Inter’s price range is right around €40 million.

Inter Milan Preparing Formal Offer For Arsenal Striker Folarin Balogun

According to Tuttosport, Inter are now at the stage of working out the details on a formal bid to Arsenal for Balogun.

They should put the offer on the table in the next few days. Tuttosport report that this is the week when the Nerazzurri really ramp up talks for the US international.

Inter’s offer could be for an initial paid loan, with a purchase obligation.

The Nerazzurri are ready to put forward an offer worth €40 million, or even a little higher for Balogun.

Therefore, everything could come down to whether or not Arsenal will dig in their heels demanding a fee higher than what Inter had been prepared to invest in bringing Lukaku back.

Meanwhile, West Ham United’s Gianluca Scamacca is also on Inter’s radar. Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi still sees Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata as the top target.

And the Nerazzurri directors see Lille’s Jonathan David as something of a dream target, reports Tuttosport.
