Atalanta goalkeeper Juan Musso and Salernitana’s Luigi Sepe have been offered to Inter Milan as possible backup options for next season.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that both of the experienced Serie A keepers have been proposed as options whilst the Nerazzurri wait to complete the signing of Yann Sommer from Bayern Munich for the first-choice role.

Inter’s search for one, and most likely two, goalkeeping signings continues.

The Nerazzurri continue to push to try and sign Sommer from Bayern. The Swiss international is the player who they want to be their first-choice keeper during the upcoming season.

But apart from Sommer to replace Onana, the Nerazzurri must also sign a backup keeper. The departure of Samir Handanovic has made this the case.

And according to FCIN, a couple of potential opportunities have arisen.

Sepe & Musso Both Offered To Inter Milan

One potentially very low-cost option who Inter could decide to sign is 32-year-old former Parma keeper Sepe.

The Italian has come onto the Nerazzurri’s radar as a possible backup keeper option in the past.

Sepe looks all but certain to leave Salernitana this summer. Moreover, the Granata will let him go for a very small fee.

And, considering that Sepe’s wages are around €1 million net per season, he would certainly not require much of an investment.

Should Inter decide to save on the backup keeper role to allocate money to other positions, Sepe could be an option.

Meanwhile, Musso looks as though he could leave Atalanta this summer.

The Argentine could lose his starting spot with Marco Carnesecchi returning from loan with Cremonese.

And La Dea are aiming to sign a different backup keeper. Sassuolo’s Andrea Consigli is on their radar in this respect.

However, Atalanta want at least €12 million for Musso.

According to FCIN, the deal could be viable for Inter if they can secure an initial loan deal containing a purchase option or conditional purchase obligation.
