There is still significant distance between Inter Milan and West Ham United in talks for the transfer of Gianluca Scamacca.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the two clubs still must bridge the gap between the Nerazzurri’s offer and the Hammers’ demand before they can get a deal over the line.

Inter are moving fast in negotiations with West Ham for Scamacca. The Nerazzurri have already made an initial offer, which the Premier League club turned down.

The Nerazzurri’s offer is reportedly around €25 million. That takes into consideration all add-ons.

That sum is not miles away from what West Ham want – it should be a basis for negotiations.

However, Sky report, there is still work for the two clubs to do.

They have not yet found a complete agreement on a transfer of Scamacca.

Still Distance Between Inter & West Ham In Scamacca Talks

Reports suggest that West Ham are continuing to hold out for around €30 million.

This amount would account for what Scamacca’s value is amortized at in the Hammer’s balance sheet.

Therefore, the Londoners may not be too open to going much lower than that valuation.

In any event, Inter will want to make sure they ward off the competition of Roma for Scamacca’s signature.

Meanwhile, there have also been rumours that Atalanta are interested in signing Scamacca.

These rumours suggest that the Lombard club could even offer defender Mehdi Demiral plus a cash fee in order to land the former Sassuolo man.

However, La Dea have denied this.

In any event, the talks between Inter and West Ham continue.

With a little under a month left to go in the summer transfer window, the Nerazzurri will want to wrap up a striker signing soon.

Scamacca looks to be the player who they’ve set their sights on.
