Inter Milan owners Suning have identified the Scudetto title as the club’s main objective for the upcoming season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, the hierarchy is determined to add another golden star which will represent the 20th league title in the club’s history.

Despite losing a host of experienced players this summer, the Nerazzurri are trying their best to build a formidable squad.

Romelu Lukaku, Edin Dzeko, Andre Onana and Marcelo Brozovic are all gone. But the Beneamata have bolstered their ranks with competent replacements.

Davide Frattesi, Marcus Thuram and Juan Cuadrado have already joined the ranks. On the other hand, Lazar Samardzic and Yann Sommer should complete transfers to Appiano Gentile before the end of the summer.

As the source explains, Suning no longer have the financial means that allow them to pull off major transfer operations.

Nevertheless, the management is working shrewdly to provide head coach Simone Inzaghi with a solid squad.

Therefore, Suning expects nothing less than a Scudetto triumph at the end of next season.

This would be club’s second league title under the guidance of the Chinese ownership. The first ensued in the 2020/21, with Antonio Conte in the dugout.

However, this doesn’t mean that the Italian giants will disregard their European commitments.

The Nerazzurri went all the way to the Champions League final last season before missing out on the trophy with a 0-1 defeat to Man City.

Nevertheless, lifting the Scudetto title at the end of next season remains a more plausible objective than winning the Champions League.
