Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic is on the verge of sealing a transfer to Inter Milan. The young man has reportedly chosen his Nerazzurri shirt number.

The 21-year-old exploded onto the scene last season while representing the Friulian club. He was one of the biggest revelations of the Serie A campaign.

The Serbian international attracted a host of suitors between Italy and abroad. Nonetheless, Inter have won the race for his signature.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInter1908, Inter and Udinese are ironing out the final details of the agreement.

Lazar Samardzic Will Don The Number 24 At Inter Milan Next Season

As the source explains, the Nerazzurri would have wanted the player to complete his medical tests on Friday or Saturday. However, we’ll probably have to wait until Monday to finalize all necessary documents.

Moreover, the report reveals that the former RB Leipzig youngster has already chosen his jersey number.

He will apparently don the Number 24 on the back of his Inter shirt. This is the same number he wore at Udinese in the last two seasons.

The Pink newspaper also believes that Samardzic will have a significant role to play next season while the club guns for a Scudetto triumph.

The left-footed midfielder will offer Simone Inzaghi an additional option in the middle of the park. This will allow the manager to rotate his ranks and maintain fresh legs amidst the grueling schedule.
