Inter Milan are ready to go all-in to try and sign Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri have made the 22-year-old US international their main target in attack, and that Udinese’s Beto is the only real alternative they have in mind.

With the Gianluca Scamacca option now off the table just like that of Romelu Lukaku, Inter are once again getting their bearings in their search for a striker for next season.

Yesterday the club’s directors and Simone Inzaghi held a meeting to discuss their strategy.

What looks clear is that now the Nerazzurri want to go after Arsenal striker Balogun.

Moreover, Sky report that Inter’s interest in signing the American never really went away The broadcaster anticipate that even whilst the club had been trying to sign Scamacca, the Arsenal striker remained their priority target.

Now Inter Milan Will Go All-In For Folarin Balogun

Whilst Scamacca had appeared to be the striker Inter were trying to sign for much of the past week, now the 24-year-old is headed to Atalanta.

And according to Sky, there is no more mystery about who Inter will try and go after.

There are no red herrings or decisions to make – the Nerazzurri have settled on Balogun.

This does not necessarily mean that Inter’s pursuit will be successful. Coming to an agreement with Arsenal on a fee will be tough.

But over the coming days, the Nerazzurri will do exactly that.

Moreover, the fact that Balogun is clearly out of the project at Arsenal, and has already pushed for the move to Inter – including with a couple hints on social media – should help Inter in their pursuit.

And if signing Balogun proves impossible, Sky report that there’s just one other name on Inter’s list.

That name belongs to Udinese striker Beto. He’s the backup, and if the Nerazzurri can’t sign Balogun they’ll make their move for the Portuguese.
