Yann Sommer will undergo medicals on his move from Bayern Munich to Inter Milan today, whilst Lazar Samardzic should do the same tomorrow.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

This week is set to be an eventful one for Inter in the transfer market.

The Nerazzurri should finally make a couple of deals official after working on them for weeks.

One major signing will be that of Sommer.

It has always looked like the 34-year-old would join Inter or sooner or later. At this point, the talks have been ongoing for over a month.

But it is only in the past few days that Sommer’s club Bayern have given the go-ahead. The Germans have held on to the ex-Borussia Monchengladbach man whilst they have searched for a replacement.

But today will be the day.

Sommer is currently in Milan, and the Gazzetta report that he will undergo his medicals today.

Then, the Swiss can put pen to paper on his Inter contract. Reports suggest that he could already join up with his new teammates as early as this afternoon’s training session.

The wait has been longer than either Inter or Sommer will have hoped. But now it’s only a matter of hours.

Not Just Sommer – Samardzic To Seal Inter Move Imminently Too

Sommer is not the only player who will sign for Inter imminently, the Gazzetta note.

The Nerazzurri will also wrap up the signing of former RB Leipzig midfielder Lazar Samardzic from Udinese.

After considering the 21-year-old for much of the summer, Inter made the decisive move in the past couple weeks.

There is total agreement between Inter and both Samardzic and Udinese.

Therefore, only the medicals remain, then the Serb can sign his contract and start preparing for the upcoming season.

The Gazzett anticipate that tomorrow will be the day that Samardzic seals the move.
