Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic will complete his move to Inter Milan on Thursday.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who revealed the day when the 21-year-old will finally undergo his medicals and sign his contract to become a Nerazzurri player on air, via FCInterNews.

It has looked for some time as though Samardzic joining Inter would only be a matter of time.

A couple weeks ago, the Nerazzurri stepped up their pursuit of the German-born Serbian international.

Talks between Inter and Udinese ramped up fairly quickly.

The transfer has been a done deal between the clubs for a few days as well. The Nerazzurri will reportedly sign Samardzic on an initial paid loan deal, with an option to buy next summer.

Meanwhile, Giovanni Fabbian will head in the other direction, with Inter retaining a buyback option.

The clubs have spent the past week or so ironing out the final details.

However, Samardzic has remained, at least for officiall purposes, an Udinese player.

That will not be the case for long, however.

According to Di Marzio, the countdown for Samardzic to seal his move to Inter can begin.

On Thrusday, the Sky transfer expert reports, the 21-year-old will travel to Milan, where he’ll be at Inter’s headquarters.

Samardzic will undergo his medical tests and then he can finally put pen to paper and become a Nerazzurri player.

Then the Serb can join up with his new teammates in training and begin preparing for the upcoming season.

With Inter’s Serie A opener against Monza on Saturday, August 9, Samardzic will have a little over a week to get up to speed.

The Nerazzurri will make the final reinforcement to Simone Inzaghi’s midfield in view of next season.
