Inter Milan will have a buyback option on Giovanni Fabbian who is heading to Udinese as part of a deal for Lazar Samardzic.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri will insist on some kind of formula in the deal for Fabbian which ensures that they retain control of the 20-year-old’s future.

The inclusion of young midfielder Fabbian in an offer has been crucial to Inter agreeing a deal with Udinese for Samardzic.

The Nerazzurri had floated the idea of a few different possible player-plus-cash deals. And it was 20-year-old Fabbian who the Friulani made very clear they were interested in.

Inter have decided that Fabbian is a player who they’re willing to give up in order to land Samardzic.

However, Tuttosport report, Inter won’t completely lost control of the 20-year-old’s future.

The newspaper note that, as of yet, there is no formal agreement on a buyback option. But, the Nerazzurri will ensure that there is some clause or agreement which ensures that they have the chance to buy back Fabbian at a certain point if they choose to.

Inter Milan Will Have Fabbian Buyback Option

There’s little surprise that Inter do not want to give up control of Fabbian’s future altogether.

The 20-year-old had an outstanding season on loan at Reggina in Serie B last season.

The Inter midfielder was named as the Calabrian team’s best player of the season.

Despite having just one season of senior football under his belt, Fabbian has already attracted plenty of interest.

All of Napoli, Lazio, and Atalanta are reportedly fans of the 20-year-old.

Even just for next season, all of Lecce, Bologna, Salernitana, Genoa, and Empoli have all shown interest.

Clearly, Fabbian is a player with a great deal of quality and potential.

Therefore, whether Inter are to sell him on for a bigger fee or bring him into the first team in the future, they will not want to miss out on the chance.

As such, the Nerazzurri will have a buyback option in the 20-year-old’s move to Udinese.
