West Ham United are reportedly attempting to snatch the services of Lazar Samardzic from under Inter Milan’s noses.

As we reported yesterday, the 21-year-old arrived in  Milano to complete his transfer to the Nerazzurri. The young midfielder even expressed his delight with the move.

News reports were widely expecting the player to undergo his medical today and sign his contract with Inter Milan.

Nevertheless, the two parties couldn’t put the deal over the line on Thursday.

Apparently, the player’s agent couldn’t arrive today at the club’s headquarters to sort out the final details of the contract.

So according to the Daily Mail, West Ham could make the most out of the delay. They’re trying to seize the opportunity and sway Samardzic towards East London.

The source claims that the Nerazzurri and the player should resume talks tomorrow, while the Hammers will be waiting in the wings.

West Ham Could Attempt To Sign Udinese Star Lazar Samardzic Just Before He Finalizes His Transfer To Inter Milan

The Conference League winners will have some reflecting to do in the coming hours before deciding whether to present a formal offer for the Serbian or not. The report believes that the young midfielder would cost around 22 million pounds.

The English source adds that West Ham’s interest was sparked by Manchester City’s potential attempts to sign Lucas Paqueta.

The Champions League winners could reportedly put a lucrative offer on the table for the former AC Milan player.

As the source claims, a whopping 90 million pounds would tempt the English capital side to sell.

The 25-year-old Brazilian midfielder is an integral member of David Moyes’ squad. So if he ends up joining the Cityzens, the Hammers would need a capable replacement.

So we shall see if the East Londoners would be able to sabotage the Inter-Samardzic operation at this extremely advanced stage.
