Young Inter Milan striker Sebastiano Esposito is very close to making the switch to Sampdoria on loan for next season.

This according to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 21-year-old could even undergo medicals on the move as early as tomorrow.

Inter striker Esposito is not a player who has a place in the Nerazzurri’s first team.

The Nerazzurri are reportedly ready to make an attacking signing, with Bologna’s Marko Arnautovic currently the favourite. And then, even if Joaquin Correa were to depart, a replacement would most likely come in.

Therefore, another loan is on the cards for Esposito, who will aim to get playing time.

The Italy Under-21 international has had an impressive preseason, even scoring in a friendly win over Paris Saint-Germain. He will hope to build on this next season.

Sebastiano Esposito To Join Sampdoria On Loan

For next season, a couple of clubs have stepped up with a serious interest in signing Esposito on loan.

One have been Hellas Verona. The Gialloblu have been hoping to give Esposito his first regular experience playing in Serie A.

However, on the other hand, there have also been Sampdoria, tempting the 21-year-old with an ambitious projecting in Serie B.

The Blucerchiati are aiming to bounce straight back from the second division next season under Andrea Pirlo.

According to Tuttosport, everything is ready for Esposito to make the move. The only thing missing is the player’s green light.

That could come very soon, however, and the striker could already undergo his medicals as early as tomorrow.

He would join fellow Inter loanee Filip Stankovic.

Last season, Esposito went out on two separate loan spells.

Over the first half of the campaign, he played for Anderlecht in the Belgian top flight. Then, during the January transfer window, Esposito made the switch to Bari in Serie B, where he spent the remainder of the campaign on loan.

The season before then, Esposito had played for Basel on loan.

And prior to that, the Italian played in two different loan spells in Serie B, with SPAL and Venezia.

Reportedly, Inter even considered offering Esposito to Udinese as part of a player-plus-cash bid for midfielder Lazar Samardzic.

But now it looks like it will in fact be Sampdoria who bring the 21-year-old in for the season.
