Inter Milan could include striker Sebastiano Esposito as part of an offer for Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are weighing up the possibility of a cash-plus-player bid for Samardzic which would include young striker Esposito going the other way.

Inter have firmed up their interest in signing Samardzic as their last midfield arrival of the summer.

Whilst Davide Frattesi has already come in to replace Marcelo Brozovic, the departure of Roberto Gagliardini at the end of his contract has left the Nerazzurri with just five senior midfielders in the squad as of now.

And reports suggest that Inter have a clear idea of the kind of player they want to take Gagliardini’s place.

Rather than going for an experienced profile, the Nerazzurri want to sign a younger midfielder.

This would be in keeping with the lowering of the average age of Inter’s squad that has already taken place this summer.

Inter Milan Could Offer Sebastiano Esposito As Part Of Samardzic Deal

21-year-old Samardzic is a player Inter see as ideal to refresh the midfield, both for the immediate future and the longer term.

The Nerazzurri are far from the only club interested in signing the ex-RB Leipzig star, however.

Napoli are very keen on Samardzic, whilst Juventus are also in the hunt.

Therefore, Inter know that they’ll have to find a way to tempt Udinese into making a deal to beat the competition.

Moreover, the Friulani will hardly sell Samardzic for a low fee given the amount of interest.

One way Inter could try to persuade Udinese is with a player-plus-cash bid.

Reports have suggested that the Nerazzurri could put young midfielder Giovanni Fabbian on the table as part of an offer for Samardzic.

However, SportItalia anticipate, there is another possible candidate that Inter could offer to Udinese.

21-year-old striker Esposito could finally leave Inter on a permanent basis after several loans as part of a deal for Samardzic.
