Inter Milan have completed a deal to sign striker Marko Arnautovic from Bologna.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the 34-year-old Austrian international should be in Milano some time between this evening and tomorrow to complete medicals and sign his deal.

Inter have decided on Arnautovic to be their new striker signing for the upcoming season.

The former West Ham United and Stoke City veteran wasn’t necessarily the Nerazzurri’s first choice.

There have been flirtations with Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun. Gianluca Scamacca came onto Inter’s radar before Atalanta beat them to the punch.

In recent days Porto striker Mehdi Taremi has emerged as a major target.

Even Bayern Munich’s Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting was a player Inter looked into over the past few days. However, the Bavarians are not interested in selling the Cameroonian.

But with little more than a couple weeks to go before the summer transfer window closes, and less than a week before the season begins, it is Arnautovic who Inter have decided to make the decisive move for.

Inter Milan Agree Deal With Bologna To Sign Marko Arnautovic

Di Marzio confirms recent reports that Inter will pay around €8 million plus €2 million in add-ons to sign Arnautovic.

The Nerazzurri have fully agreed the deal with Bologna.

In recent days, the talks between the clubs have gone on. And the Rossoblu have decided to accept Inter’s offer.

The player himself reportedly also pushed for the move.

Arnautovic will complete his medicals soon. Di Marzio anticipates that the striker could be in Milano as early as this evening.

At the latest, the 34-year-old should arrive tomorrow. Then he should be able to quickly finish up the final formalities and become an Inter player.

Arnautovic has made 58 appearances and scored 25 goals for Bologna in the past two seasons.
