Striker Marko Arnautovic will earn around €3.5 million net per season on his two-year contract with Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who reveal some financial details on the deal.

Inter have decided on Arnautovic to be their new striker signing for the upcoming season.

The former West Ham United and Stoke City veteran wasn’t necessarily the Nerazzurri’s first choice.

There have been flirtations with Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun. Gianluca Scamacca came onto Inter’s radar before Atalanta beat them to the punch.

In recent days Porto striker Mehdi Taremi has emerged as a major target.

Even Bayern Munich’s Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting was a player Inter looked into over the past few days. However, the Bavarians are not interested in selling the Cameroonian.

But with little more than a couple weeks to go before the summer transfer window closes, and less than a week before the season begins, it is Arnautovic who Inter have decided to make the decisive move for.

Inter Milan TO Sign Marko Arnautovic On 2-Year Deal From Bologna

According to the Gazzetta, Arnautovic will sign a two-year contract to join Inter from Bologna.

The Rossoblu were not necessarily keen to sell their attacking talisman. However, the Austrian made his desire very clear, and the Emilian club ultimately accepted.

Bologna and Inter have hashed out a deal over the past couple days.

According to the Gazzetta, Inter will sign Arnautovic on an initial paid loan with a fee of €4 million.

Then next summer, a purchase obligation will kick in. The Nerazzurri will sign the 34-year-old on a permanent basis for an additional fee of €4 million.

There will also be €2 million in add-ons.

As for what the player earns, the Gazzetta report that Inter will more or less “inherit” the remaining two years of Arnautovic’s contract with Bologna, until the end of June 2025.

The Nerazzurri will pay Arnautovic around €3.5 million net per season. They will benefit from the Growth Decree in doing so.
