Inter Milan do not fancy a deal for Stuttgart defender Konstantinos Mavropanos who’s currently negotiating a transfer to West Ham United.

Last night, emerging reports linked the Nerazzurri with a switch for the 25-year-old. He became only the latest defender to land on the club’s ever-growing shortlist.

The Greek signed for Arsenal in 2018 at a relatively young age but failed to cement himself in North London.

The centre-back has been sharpening his tools at Stuttgart since 2020. He established himself as one of the best up-and-coming defenders in the Bundesliga.

But according to Sky Sport Germany via FcInterNews, Mavropanos is not a transfer target for Inter.

Instead, West Ham appear to be the favorites in the race to sign the Greece international.

The Hammers are reportedly holding talks with Stuttgart who still have a contract with the player until 2025.

Simultaneously, the East Londoners are negotiating with the player over personal terms.

For their part, Inter have reportedly prioritized a move for Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard.

The Italians consider the 2018 World Cup hero the ideal profile to replace Milan Skriniar as a right central defender in Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 formation.

The Nerazzurri must still raise their offer to bridge the gap with Bayern’s asking price, but the operation remains possible.
