Alexis Sanchez is desperate to make the return to Inter Milan this summer, and Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi would approve the move.

This according to La Repubblica, via FCInter1908, who report that Inzaghi has given the go-ahead to sign Sanchez back after one season as the Chilean former Arsenal, Barcelona, and Manchester United man pushes for the move to happen.

Inter currently have four senior strikers in their squad – Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, Marko Arnautovic, and Joaquin Correa.

Martinez certainly will not leave. The Argentine is a talismanic figure for the Nerazzurri and has inherited the captain’s armband.

Meanwhile, Thuram and Arnautovic only arrived at the club this summer.

One player who could still be on his way, however, is Correa.

The Nerazzurri have seemingly been trying to offload the Argentine for much of the summer, to no avail.

Still, Inter will listen to offers for Correa right until the end of the window. And if the 29-year-old ex-Lazio and Sevilla man is to depart, then there is one player who would be extremely eager to take his place.

Alexis Sanchez Desperate For Inter Milan Return – Inzaghi Says Yes To Move

34-year-old Chilean international Sanchez only left Inter twelve months ago.

The Nerazzurri and the veteran forward agreed on a termination of the player’s contract via mutual consent. Sanchez then went on to join Marseille on a free transfer.

However, Sanchez’s contract with Marseille ran out this summer, and he has not signed an extension.

Therefore, the 34-year-old is once again looking for a new club to join on a free transfer.

And according to La Repubblica, Sanchez has made going back to Inter his priority.

Despite having only departed last summer, the Chilean is extremely keen and wants to return to the San Siro “at all costs.”

Then, the big question could be whether or not Correa leaves.

But there would be no resistance from Inzaghi. The Inter coach has reportedly told his club that he’d be happy to have Sanchez back at his disposal.
