Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard has turned down an offer from Man United, as he’s prioritizing a move to Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908, who report that the 27-year-old currently only wants the Nerazzurri despite the Red Devils also having an interest in his signature.

Inter have made Pavard their top target in defense.

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta made no effort to hide the fact. And coach Simone Inzaghi has also admitted that he wants the Frenchman in his squad by the end of the summer transfer window.

However, there are a couple obstacles towards Inter to signing him.

The first would naturally, be Bayern’s reluctance to sell the Frenchman.

The Bavarians reportedly aren’t ready to let go of Pavard yet, at least before securing a replacements.

Meanwhile, Inter do have the formidable competition of Premier League giants Manchester United for Pavard’s signature. Although for the moment, the player’s preference favours the Nerazzurri.

Benjamin Pavard Says No To Man United – Wants Inter Milan

According to the Gazzetta, United have already recently had an offer worth around €38 million for Pavard turned down.

Meanwhile, Inter have gone about as high as €30 million, including all add-ons.

The Nerazzurri could well get an agreement over the line for a fee of around €35 million. Although Bayern may be reluctant to accept a bid that’s lower than the one that United already have on the table.

But for his part, Pavard is pushing for Inter.

The Gazzetta report that the Frenchman’s stance is clear.

He wants to leave Bayern. And Inter are the team that he wants to join.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri are hoping that they can use this to their advantage.

If Pavard keeps putting pressure on Bayern, and refuses United’s interest, it could be the impetus that Inter need in negotiations.
