Inter Milan are ready to offer €28 million plus €5 million in add-ons to sign Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard.

This according to French news outlet L’Equipe, who report that the contacts between the two clubs are ongoing as the Nerazzurri prepare to increase their offer for the 27-year-old.

Inter have made Pavard their top target in defense.

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta made no effort to hide the fact. And coach Simone Inzaghi has also admitted that he wants the Frenchman in his squad by the end of the summer transfer window.

So far, Inter have not yet found an agreement with Bayern on a fee.

The Nerazzurri have reportedly already made a couple of offers for the Frenchman. And Bayern have turned them down so far.

Inter’s highest bid so far has been worth around €30 million in total, including €5 million in add-ons, according to reports.

And now, L’Equipe report, the Nerazzurri are preparing to go even higher.

Inter Milan Readying Improved Bid To Bayern Munich For Benjamin Pavard

According to L’Equipe, Inter’s next bid to Bayern will be worth around €33 million. Once again, the inclusion of around €5 million in add-oins will be key.

Meanwhile, the French outlet reports, a decisive factor will be Bayern’s search for a replacement Pavard.

L’Equipe note that the Bavarians already tried to strengthen on the right side of defense by targeting Manchester City defender Kyle Walker. However, they were unsuccessful in their bid as the Englishman stayed at City.

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel does not want to head into next season without either Pavard or a suitable replacement on the right.

Meanwhile, the player reportedly wants Inter. Reports suggest that he has made clear to Bayern that he wants them to agree a deal with Inter.

In any event, the negotiations are now very much active, and Inter will soon push the envelope with another offer.
