Inter Milan have bumped up their offer to Bayern Munich for defender Benjamin Pavard – they’re pushing to seal the deal soon.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the Nerazzurri have increased the base amount in their bid for the 27-year-old, as they look to get the transfer over the line.

Inter have made Pavard their top target in defense.

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta made no effort to hide the fact. And coach Simone Inzaghi has also admitted that he wants the Frenchman in his squad by the end of the summer transfer window.

Now, everything is down to whether Inter and Bayern can work out an agreement.

The Nerazzurri have already made a couple offers, which the Bavarians have rejected.

But, Di Marzio reports, Inter are totally determined to get a deal done for Pavard.

So a new offer is now on the table, which the Nerazzurri are hoping can be more or less decisive.

Di Marzio reports that now Inter’s offer is for a base amount of €27 million.

In addition to this, the Nerazzurri are also offering €3 million in add-ons.

In essence, the total value of Inter’s bid is still right around €30 million. However, Di Marzio notes, now the base amount covers more of that total, whilst the add-ons take it to €30 million.

With not much over a week to go in the transfer window, Inter can’t waste much time in going after Pavard.

But reports suggest that the Frenchman is himself extremely keen to make the switch.

According to Di Marzio, the Nerazzurri are confident that the player’s desire can be the decisive factor. They are optimistic about wrapping up the deal soon enough after their latest offer.
