Only the last details need to be wrapped up before Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard moves to Inter Milan.

This according to Italian broadcaster RAI Sport, who report in a tweet that the two clubs are just working out the last details of the transfer in negotiations, and then it should go through.

Inter have made Pavard their top target in defense for the summer.

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta made no effort to hide the fact. And coach Simone Inzaghi has also admitted that he wants the Frenchman in his squad by the end of the summer transfer window.

So far, Inter had made a couple initial offers which Bayern rebuffed.

But according to RAI, the negotiations have had a breakthrough, and now they are moving swiftly towards an agreement.

Bayen Defender Benjamin Pavard Closing In On Inter Milan Move – Only Details Remain

Reports suggest that Inter are ready to put forward an offer worth around €30 million including add-ons for Pavard.

The Frenchman’s contract with Bayern runs out at the end of next June. Therefore, the Nerazzurri have been hoping that the German champions would be willing to cooperate in negotiations rather than risk losing the player for free next summer.

Reports further suggest that Pavard’s clear desire is to make the move to Inter.

However, everything has come down to whether Inter and Bayern can work out a deal.

First, there is the question of fee.

But equally important has been getting Bayern to agree to release a player who is currently an important part of their defensive depth.

Reports have indicated that the Bavarians want to make sure they line up a replacement for Pavard.

According to RAI, however, Inter have more or less broken Bayern’s resolve.

The broadcaster anticipates that Pavard will join Inter soon enough. The clubs just need to work out the last details first.
