Inter Milan and Bayern are holding another round of talks for defender Benjamin Pavard.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are optimistic about getting a deal done for the 27-year-old soon.

Inter have made Pavard their top target in defense.

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta made no effort to hide the fact. And coach Simone Inzaghi has also admitted that he wants the Frenchman in his squad by the end of the summer transfer window.

And now, Inter’s pursuit of Pavard is getting close to the finish line.

Sky report that the Nerazzurri have already gone as high as €27 million plus €3 million in add-ons in their offer.

This has not been accepted yet. However, the Nerazzurri are only pressing on in the talks, and expect to make further headway imminently.

Inter Optimistic Ahead Of New Benjamin Pavard Talks With Bayern Munich

According to Sky, Pavard’s desire has been a key factor.

For the player’s part, he only wants Inter. The Frenchman has done everything he can to push Bayern to agree a deal with Inter.

Sky stress that, at the moment there is now agreement between the two clubs.

For Bayern’s part, the Bavarians are still looking for a replacement for Pavard.

However, Sky notes that Bayern’s search for a replacement for the 27-year-old former Stuttgart defender is now well underway. The wheels are in motion and they are ready to sit down at the table with Inter again.

Today will be a day for further talks between Inter and Bayern.

And, because of the stance of Pavard himself, the Nerazzurri are optimistic about sealing a deal.

Inter’s offer is not far from where it needs to be to convince Bayern. Therefore, they could get the move over the line very soon.
