The signing of Benjamin Pavard will cost Inter Milan around €13.9 million on their balance sheet for the 2023-24 fiscal year.

This according to Italian news outlet Calcio e Finanza, who break down the cost of bringing in the Frenchman from Bayern Munich, in terms of both the transfer fee and his wages.

Inter are closing in on the signing of Pavard.

The 27-year-old is the player who the Nerazzurri have identified to replace Milan Skriniar in defense.

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta made no effort to hide the fact. And coach Simone Inzaghi has also admitted that he wants the Frenchman in his squad by the end of the summer transfer window.

Inter have been pushing in talks through the past few days.

They have continued to push their offer up, and hoped that the player’s insistence would make the difference.

And now, it’s a done deal. Inter and Bayern have reached a full agreement on a deal for Pavard.

What Benjamin Pavard Signing Will Cost Inter Milan

Calcio e Finanza note that the base amount that Inter will pay Bayern in terms of a fee for Pavard will be €30 million. That is prior to €2 million in potential add-ons.

Considering that the add-ons are based on team goals, Inter will not pay them up front.

So in the 2023-24 fiscal year, the Nerazzurri will record a loss of €6 million in terms of the transfer fee. That is because they will amortize the fee for the player across his five-year contract.

Meanwhile, Calcio e Finanza note, Pavard’s wages will be for €5 million net per season.

Considering the tax benefits of the Growth Decree are applicable to these wages, the Nerazzurri will pay a gross amount of around €7.9 million per season in total.

Therefore, the total cost of signing Pavard in the 2023-24 fiscal year will be €13.9 million for Inter.
