Inter Milan and Bayern have come to a full agreement on a deal worth €32 million for defender Benjamin Pavard.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri are set to pay around €30 million plus €2 million in add-ons to seal the deal for the Frenchman.

Over the past few days, Inter have been working to break Bayern’s resistance in talks for Pavard.

The Nerazzurri have clearly made the 27-year-old former Stuttgart their priority replacement for Milan Skriniar. A real like-for-like replacement for the Slovakian on the right side of the defense has yet to truly arrive this summer.

Now, however, that is about to change.

The Gazzetta report that there is now an agreement with Bayern.

In today’s round of talks, the Nerazzurri made a new offer, and the Bavarians accepted it.

The Gazzetta report that the agreement will be for €30 million plus €2 million in add-ons.

Pavard himself has been pushing to join Inter this summer.

The Frenchman’s contract with Bayern runs out at the end of next June. He has made clear for some time that he has no intention of signing an extension.

Therefore, this summer represents the German champions’ last real opportunity to cash in on the Frenchman.

Pavard reportedly wants to join a club where he will exclusively play in defense rather than as an attacking fullback.

Inter can offer him exactly that.

Manchester United have also made an attempt to sign Pavard late in the transfer window. However, it is the Nerazzurri who have found an agreement with Bayern on a deal.

Pavard joined Bayern in the summer of 2019 from Stuttgart.

Since his arrival, the Frenchman has made a total of 163 appearances for the German champions. He has scored twelve goals in the process.

Meanwhile, Pavard has made 49 appearances for the French national team. He made his debut for Les Bleus in 2017, and was a regular starter as they won the 2018 World Cup.

Pavard was also part of France’s squad at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. However, he did not start in the final against Argentina.
