Torino are pushing to bring in Inter Milan forward Joaquin Correa before the summer transfer window slams shut.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Argentine is the Granata’s primary target in attack for next season at the moment, as they seek to agree a loan deal for his signature.

Torino have already made several signings this summer.

However, one area where the Piedmontese side could look to strengthen is in attack.

Yesterday evening’s goalless draw in their Serie A opener against Cagliari was a clear sign of where improvements could be made in the final third. Ivan Juric’s side put in a fairly controlled performance, but rarely looked like unlocking the match in front of goal.

And according to Tuttosport, Correa is near the top of the Granata’s list.

They are also keeping tabs on Bologna forward Musa Barrow. However, it is the Argentine who they’re hoping to sign above all.

Torino Want Inter Forward Joaquin Correa

Correa is still an Inter player even though many anticipated that he would be on his way this summer.

But as Tuttosport note, the Nerazzurri will do everything they can to move the 29-year-old on before the transfer window closes.

Inter will reportedly listen to loan offers for Correa. This could include potential paid loan deals, which could in turn include purchase options.

La Liga side Real Betis reportedly consider the Argentine former Lazio forward a target. Tuttosport confirm this.

However, should Correa want to stay within Serie A, Torino may emerge as his likeliest next destination.

A lot could come down to the finances of the deal.

Correa’s wages would not likely be within reach for the Granata. But if Inter were to pay a portion of them, then a move could be possible.
