Lille are interested in signing out-of-favour Inter Milan forward Joaquin Correa during the last week of the summer transfer window.

This according to French news outlet Footmercato, via FCInterNews.

Correa may finally get a move away from Inter after sticking around all summer.

There is little doubt that the Nerazzurri would be happy to find a new club for the former Lazio man. He has little place in the project going forward.

However, there has been no real movement for much of the summer, despite rumours of Saudi Pro League interest.

But that has changed in the past few days.

Reportedly, Inter have changed their stance on Correa – they will listen to loan offers for the Argentine international.

And this has seemingly opened the floodgates. If few teams showed any interest in signing Correa on a permanent transfer, the prospect of getting him on loan evidently has more appeal.

A number of teams have come forward with interest in Correa over the past few days.

These have included Torino, Real Betis, and Bournemouth.

RB Leipzig have also inquired regarding the possibility of signing the 29-year-old. And now, yet another team can be added to that list.

Lille Show Interest In Signing Inter Milan Forward Joaquin Correa

According to Footmercato, Lille have made an approach about potentially signing Correa in the final days of the summer.

However, the French outlet suggests, the Ligue 1 side have specifically spoken with Correa’s agent Alessandro Lucci.

According to the outlet, this annoyed the Nerazzurri somewhat.

From Inter’s perspective, they would have preferred that Lille register their interest with them rather than on the player’s side initially.

In any event, Footmercato reports that Correa may well be out of Lille’s price range. Even with Inter possibly allowing the Argentine leave on loan, his wages would still be quite high.
