Bundesliga team RB Leipzig have asked for information about out-of-favour Inter Milan forward Joaquin Correa.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reported in a tweet that the Germans are among the teams interested in signing the 29-year-old in the final week of the transfer window.

Correa may finally get a move away from Inter after sticking around all summer.

There is little doubt that the Nerazzurri would be happy to find a new club for the former Lazio man. He has little place in the project going forward.

However, there has been no real movement for much of the summer, despite rumours of Saudi Pro League interest.

But that has changed in the past few days.

Reportedly, Inter have changed their stance on Correa – they will listen to loan offers for the Argentine international.

And this has seemingly opened the floodgates. If few teams showed any interest in signing Correa on a permanent transfer, the prospect of getting him on loan evidently has more appeal.

RB Leipzig Interested In Signing Joaquin Correa

A number of teams have come forward with interest in Correa over the past few days.

These have included Torino, Real Betis, and Bournemouth.

And now, Pedulla reports, Leipzig have joined in the race for Correa’s signature. They have made contact with Inter and with the Argentine’s representatives to feel out a possible move.

Now, Pedulla anticipates, it will be up to Correa to evaluate the offers before him.

The 29-year-old faces the prospect of being on the fringes at Inter. Therefore, he will potentially have the chance of playing a more prominent role elsewhere.

And according to Pedulla, Leipzig could offer Correa the chance of playing in the Champions League at a different club.

All indications are that if Correa leaves, Inter’s plan would be to bring back Alexis Sanchez.
