Inter Milan are on the verge of completing two intertwined transfers, sending Joaquin Correa to Olympique Marseille and replacing him with Alexis Sanchez.

This operation has been brewing over the past few days, but it appears that we have now reached the finish line.

According to Sky Sport via FcInterNews, Correa’s agent Alessandro Lucci has already reached a full agreement with Marseille over his client’s transfer.

The Argentine will leave Appiano Gentile following two disappointing seasons. He failed to cement himself a regular spot in Simone Inzaghi’s starting formation.

The 29-year-old will be looking to reignite his playing career in Ligue 1. He’ll join OM on an onerous loan worth 2 million euros.

The French side will have the option to buy the player at the end of the season for 12 million euros.

However, the purchase would become obligatory if Marseille manage to qualify for the Champions League.

Joaquin Correa And Alexis Sanchez Will Both Undergo Medicals On Friday Before Completing Moves to Marseille And Inter Respectively

The source adds that Correa will undergo his routine medical tests on Friday before signing his contract with the Southern French club.

Simultaneously, Alexis Sanchez should be in Italy tomorrow morning for his own medical tests.

With Correa out of the club, the Chilean will make his remarkable return to Inter Milan.

After spending a solitary campaign at Marseille himself, the 34-year-old is once again a free agent. He has been rejecting all other offers while anticipating a call from the Nerazzurri.

As we reported earlier today, Sanchez will sign a two-year contract with Inter. His first stint at the Giuseppe Meazza lasted for three years. He joined in 2019 before leaving as a free agent in 2022.
