Bayern Munich are reportedly monitoring Kiliann Sildillia as a possible replacement for Inter Milan-bound defender Benjamin Pavard.

The Nerazzurri are looking to complete their squad by adding a new defender to their ranks. The club is yet to properly replace Milan Skriniar who joined Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent.

The Serie A giants have recently revived their interest in Pavard, making swift progress on this front.

But despite having agreements in principle with both the player and the club, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel is still blocking the operation.

The former Chelsea boss doesn’t want to deprive himself of his defender’s services before the arrival of a suitable replacement.

According to the Bild via FcInterNews, Pavard’s heir at Bayern might well be his young compatriot Killian Sildillia.

The 21-year-old is a versatile defender who primarily features at right-back. This is the position that Pavard has been occupying at Bayern under Tuchel’s tutelage.

The Frenchman is a youth product of Metz who joined Freiburg in 2020. He has been a member of the first team since 2021.

Bayern Munich Are Tracking Freiburg Fullback Kiliann Sildillia Who Could Replace Inter Milan Linked Benjamin Pavard

As the source explains, Sildillia is one of the profiles that the Bavarians are evaluating at the moment. However, no concrete developments have been registered on this front.

For their part, the Nerazzurri will be hoping that Bayern accelerate in their attempts to secure a replacement.

As we reported earlier today, Inter remain confident in their chances of landing Pavard but can’t afford to wait for too long.

The Italians will eventually resort to other profiles if they don’t find a swift solution with Bayern.
